An Experienced Environmental Professional Joins GSS

We are thrilled to announce that Jon Bowden has joined the Green Site Services team! With over 30 years in the industry, Jon is an experienced environmental professional. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and a strong network of professional relationships. We are confident that his expertise will be an invaluable asset to our company and our clients.

A Career Built on Experience

Jon’s journey in the industry began in 1991 as a field chemist. He initially envisioned a career in hydrogeology and site investigations. However, a new opportunity led him to the field of environmental services. This extensive experience has taught him many lessons. A crucial one, he says, is to never think that situations will be the same as you have faced before. Jon highlighted the importance of learning from the past while remaining open to new methods and tactics for managing projects.

Joining GSS

Jon was drawn to Green Site Services because our company’s approach reminded him of a company he was with at the beginning of his career. Similar to many of us here, he enjoys the challenges that come with being part of a small, growing team. For this reason, he’s here to help expand operations and grow the business, specializing in transportation and disposal.

Navigating Challenges

This won’t be the first time Jon has embraced a significant challenge. Throughout his career, Jon, an experienced environmental services professional, has demonstrated a remarkable ability to navigate the industry’s complexity. For example, he has tackled many projects where the initial plan proved to be over-engineered. He had to step back, refocus, and re-engage, sometimes “changing plans on the fly.” In the end, he always overcomes these challenges and ensures projects are successful.

Beyond the Job

When he’s not busy managing environmental projects, Jon is a dedicated New England Patriots season ticket holder. He also enjoys hiking, exploring, and making craft cider from his small farm orchard.
